Niraj Chhajer

Niraj is co-founder and Managing Partner at Pransh Capital Partners. He is an avid angel investor and is a senior finance professional and private equity specialist with 16+ years of experience. Niraj has successfully executed 30+ transactions with an enterprise value of over US$ 5 billion and equity investment of over US$ 500 million.

He has sourced, developed, structured, closed and managed transactions in renewable energy, logistics and environmental services in India. He has also worked on several private equity and restructuring transactions in Singapore, Thailand, Philippines and China.

He previously worked as a Responsible officer and Investment Director for Asia Climate Partners (ACP) in Hong Kong for six years. ACP was one of the largest climate-focused private equity fund in Asia with a fund size of US$ 450 million backed by Asian Development Bank, ORIX Corporation and Robeco.

Prior to ACP, Niraj was a Director at FE Clean Energy Group (“FE”) in Singapore, responsible for India investments and providing structuring and financial inputs across deals in the FE portfolio of US$265 million of funds under management. Niraj has also led several successful exits in India during his six-year stint at FE.

Niraj worked at Wachovia Bank (now part of Wells Fargo, USA) in India prior to FE, where he was responsible for deals worth more than US$ 100 million in structured debt and equity instruments in the power sector in India.

Niraj started his career as an Investment Banker at Axis Bank (India’s 3rd largest private sector bank) where he raised more than US$ 125 million of private equity capital for various unlisted and listed companies in India.

Niraj is a qualified Chartered Accountant in India. He ranked 26th in the nationally administered Chartered Accountant examination. Niraj also has a Master’s Degree in Commerce from Gujarat University in India
